Chemical Accreditation Information

This course has been developed for commercial farm spray contractors, horticulture businesses, landscapers, arborists, and similar operators who use chemicals as part of their services to clients and need to hold a Commercial Operator license. The course has been specifically designed for operators spraying on another property that is not their own. The emphasis is on the safe use of chemicals in meeting your legal obligations and requirements while assisting you to work safely and economically with chemicals. Calibration of spray applicators is a critical part of the training.

Course Structure

On successful completion of the course students will receive a Statement of Attainment for three units of competency:

  • AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases
  • AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals
  • AHCPMG301 Control Weeds

Students have the option to enrol and only complete the AHCCHM307 and AHCCHM304 units. AHCPMG301 has been developed as a post-request to the above units and can only be commenced if the student is completing the full course. i.e. the AHCPMG301 unit is not offered on its own.
