Farm Essentials

Tailored training to equip your employees with essential farm skills

Investing in your team’s skills is an investment in the farm itself

Your people need the proper training to ensure they understand the lay of the land, the livestock, the buildings and proper use of equipment. Even if your new employees have been doing the same jobs on other farms, you can’t assume they have the skills to do the job on your farm, or with your equipment. Even existing workers need regular refreshers to stay effective and safe in their roles.

Training your people doesn’t have to be hard work

Based on feedback from producers, our Farm Essentials program captures exactly what you’ve told us you need: quick, effective training that gives your people the skills to hit the ground running. It’s ideal for rural operations or member groups who need flexible, on-site training that delivers impact and doesn’t disrupt daily operations.

Your farm is unique;
your training should be too

We don’t believe in templates or generic training when it comes to agriculture

What works for one farmer in one region, doesn’t always work for another. Our Farm Essentials program lets you choose your training modules, add to it and make changes if you like. We first gain perspective of your operation and then develop a program based on your exact needs.

What is Farm Essentials?

Farm Essentials is run as a series of non-accredited modules held over 4 days on your farm or preferred site. Each module includes both hands-on and theoretical elements and are finished off with an assessment to ensure your employees truly understand the job and expectations.
